Here is what we need from you to get started on your eBay Motors Valet Auction. Our approach to online auctions depends on being as informative as possible both with words and pictures. *The goal of your eBay auction will be to answer 95% of the bidders' questions and concerns about your vehicle within the auction content. This adds a tremendous amount of confidence in the process of purchasing site unseen. Being as thorough as possible on the first two, we need the following five things to properly attract high bids on your vehicle.
1.) The Photos: We offer unlimited photo presentation of your vehicle and encourage a minimum of 30 or more photos. Be aware of good lighting, a nice atmosphere (not inside a barn with clutter or in a drive way with other cars to distract), and full coverage of the automobile. Perfect conditions for the photos would be outside under medium overcast skies, however we realize this is not always possible. You can mail us a disc with the photos of the car, you can email the photos or you can mail us 35mm copies for us to scan onto the computer. Your preference. Digital photos typically look nicer than those that are scanned onto the computer. Please study our photo tutorial for an example of the specific photos we would like to have of your vehicle.
2.) The Forms: The registration forms represent the foundation in construction of the auction, and it is crucial for you to be as thorough as possible in your description. The perceived value of your vehicle in bidders' eyes will be largely based on the information you put into these forms. You can fill out our forms online or you can print them off and mail or fax them in, your choice.
3.) Set Your Price: Set your 'Auction Reserve' price for the eBay Motors Valet Auction. This is the absolute lowest bid amount that you will accept for the vehicle. There is a space provided within the forms for you to list your "Reserve Price". The reserve amount is inclusive of e-motorclassics commission of 5% or $500.00 depending on the value of the car. Any vehicle sold under $10,000, e-motorclassics would receive a flat $600 commission. Any vehicle over $10,000, the commission is 6% of the total selling price. It is worth noting that when an offer is accepted by a buyer, we take the deposit up-front from the buyer on behalf of the sale and the remaining balance of 94% is due to the owner at time of inspection/pickup.
4.) The Title: We must have a copy of the front and back of the title. We need to see and be able to show bidders that this vehicle is in your name and there are no liens on it. You can fax, email or mail us a copy of the front and back of the title. Fax 260.572.0988. If email, please email your title to \n This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 5.) The Listing Fee: We require receipt of the $70.00 listing fee to list your vehicle on eBay Motors for a seven day auction. To feature the vehicle the fee is $120.00. There is no difference in the way it looks, you just get additional prime placement on eBay Motors when you feature. Ultimately, featured auctions bring more people into the auction. The listing fee covers the cost to build your auction, list your auction, photo hosting and processing fees. The commission of 5% ($10,000 or above) or flat $500 ($10,000 or under) is only achieved if the vehicle sells for a price the seller agrees to accept.
Once we have these things, you can sit back and relax and watch your bids climb. We service the entire auction from listing to finish.
We answer the emails, we answer the calls, we negotiate the sale.
